Ms. Jenn's Math and Science Class -

This week:    We learned how to turn an improper fraction into a mixed number and how to add and subtract fractions with the same denominators.  Students also picked a specific ecosystem of their choice.  They will present to the class this ecosystems producers, primary and secondary consumers, decomposers, and examples of different kind of eaters in this ecosystem.  They will start presenting them next week.

Next week: We will keep exploring Ecosystems and Food Chains in science and start presentations on Thursday.  We will be focusing on adding and subtracting fractions with different denominators,  multiplying and dividing fractions in math.

Ms. Sarah's ELA and Social Studies Class-

This week:  Our students have been working well on informative readings and writings. The 6th graders have also been working on cultures and understanding how resources are affected by it. The 5th graders are also working the original colonies.

Next week:
We will still be working on the same topics in the following week, but we will also begin working on on community service project. This will still remain because we had the two days off.

*If you haven't begun using Class Dojo, please make sure to sign up. It is the way I will communicate extra information on the class. Also, pictures will be shared!
