Also we have been working on explaining why public goods (e.g., libraries, roads, parks) are not privately owned. This week in ELA, we continued on in our Folktale unit and read a few Pourquoi stories. Pourquois tells about how something came to be from long ago. Ask me about what the stories were about this week! We also finished up our spelling units and will start a new list next week. We completed reading checks and have moved on to new levels in each group also! :)  Standard covered: RL.3.2, RL.3.3, Rl.4.2, RL.4.3, RL.4.6 This week in science, we continued with our earth systems unit. We learned about the 4 spheres; geosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere. We were able to go outside and draw what we saw in the environment around us and classify each object by which sphere they belong to. We also talked about how these spheres interact together. We started to also learn about plate tectonics and how our earth is constructed. We will continue with this next week.  Standards covered: 4-ESS1-1, 4-ESS2-1-2 -Ms. Jamie
