Music: Week of May 15th-19th
I hope that everyone had a wonderful week. Music is always on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
I have had some difficulties getting a location for the Spring Concert and have reached out to four locations. If anyone has suggestions please email me cassieb@branchlineschool.org.
Younger Grades:
In Kindergarten, were taking their end of year test. Students were also working on their concert piece Space Worms and playing instruments to music stories.
1st-2nd Grade, students were taking their end of year test. Students were also working on their concert piece Shake It.
In 3rd and 4th grade, we were taking their end of year test. We reviewed the concept of sharps vs. flats. What are sharps and flats how do they work? Students had to solve the boomwhackers on their own.
If you would like your child to wear a mask while playing you can purchase this mask or make a similar mask for your child.

In 5th-6th grade, students were taking their end of year test. We will be moving on the Japan unit after this Australian unit.
In 7th-8th grade, students are finishing their end of year test as well as their ukuleles. Students were working on Sweet Home Alabama.. Students just learned about the D and G chord this week. Students are sounding fantastic on their ukuleles.
