Hello BLS Fam!
This week in PE we worked on our Throwing and Catching Unit! We worked on proper underhand throwing and played a few games. Younger kids had an opportunity to use bean bags, tossing to partners and older kids used soft balls.
The older kids learned a new game called "Boom City" which integrated tossing underhand to team members to steal rings for their teams.
Our K-4 worked on the "Egg Toss Challenge" which worked further on our underhand throwing and catching to a partner. We have been working very hard on congratulating our teammates who win with a "good game" and learning that these are "just games".
We finished the week with our "Yard of the Month Competition" which is more work on underhand throwing with our soft foam balls and whoever has the cleanest "yard" (with the least amount of balls), at the end, wins.
We will continue our throwing and catching unit after a fun game on Monday for Halloween! Stay tuned!
