Hello BLS Fam!! Many of you asked about the Amazon wishlist! I've created one for our PE Class - any way you can help us is greatly appreciated!! We are waiting on our grant money to come in and that will help with hula hoops and jump ropes (they actually don't sell the ones we need on Amazon). These items ship directly to the school and it's a tax write-off!! 😉
This week in PE Class we continued our Throwing and Catching Unit.
Monday, we played a fun game of Cornhole with hula hoops and cones - we had many get them in the cones!! It was good practice with our underhand throwing.
Wednesday, we played a cooperative game called "Flip the Cone". When the cone landed upright with their partner, they had to give a high five or fist bump and say "Good Game". The person who didn't flip the cone upright had to do 5 jumping jacks and find another partner. Everyone got to play with others in their classroom they may not normally play with. It was a great mix of good sportsmanship as well as exercise.
Friday we are working on a fun overhand throwing game called "Sink the Ship"!
