Ms. Jenn's Math and Science Class -
This week: We learned the mean, median, mode, and range of a set of numbers, practiced the order of operations, and turned decimals into fractions. For science we learned the qualities on living vs nonliving things. Student pairs chose and item to research and write an argument including evidence to explain why that thing was living or nonliving.
Next week: We will continue exploring living and nonliving things while planning and carrying out an investigation. For math we will compare and order fractions and evaluate numerical expressions using the order of operations.
Ms. Sarah's ELA and Social Studies Class-
This week: We have been working on our rough drafts in ELA, and we began our new Unit in CommonLit. We are discussing how failure and success and affect us.
Next week: Our final papers on the alternate ending of a story will be due. As a class, we will begin using ClassDojo within the next coming weeks. Please join using this link:
