This week in ELA we did some comprehension practice by reviewing some fiction and nonfiction stories on our EPIC reading website. We finished our spelling unit this week and will not start a new unit until after Thanksgiving break. We will also be doing some mid-year reading checks at reading groups starting next week and continuing after Thanksgiving. Most groups are ready to move up to their next reading level! In science this week, we started looking at our new salmon project. We reviewed the life cycle and did some research on how long salmon live through each stage. Ms. Jamie will be driving on Friday afternoon to Lake St. Clair to pick up 125 salmon eggs. The students are very excited to start our next project! -Ms. Jamie
