This week we found out more about Dr. Seuss. He was born over 100 years ago when books for kids weren't that exciting. Dr. Seuss wanted to change that. He wanted to make books that are fun to read. He put rhyming, easy words, and funny characters into his stories. His real name is Theodore Seuss Geisel.
How do animals make homes? How do they use their environment? How do they change it to meet their needs? We've been observing some very busy animals and taking note of what they are using and how they are building.
Things to talk about from the week:
- New student- now we have 20!
- Gluing salt to paper, then painting it
- Ms. Sarah's missing voice (and microphone!)
- I spy game
