Hello Innovator Families!
March is Reading Month! We have reading based activities everyday. Next week on Pi day, March 14, it is 'dress like your favorite book character'. This week on Tuesday was 'bring your favorite book' day. I shocked the Innovators by bringing some of my favorites from middle school: Sweet Dream Romances. It is a bright ray of hope to find this generation is appalled by my choices and their favorites are far superior in complexity and content! At least it gave them a giggle:
ELA: We are reviewing the 6 Traits of Writing. We will be choosing a theme to craft a story like Ponyboy was assigned to do in the Outsiders.
Science: We exhibited our museum boards about electromagnetism. We did our walk throughs and learned about dynamic microphones, maglev trains, induction stoves and even a flyback transformer. We are moving on to Planetary Science next.
Mackinac Trip:
All scheduled payments listed in the permission slips have passed. I have sent emails detailing the remaining balance to be paid by April 1. Then we are DONE and can focus on looking forward to the trip!
