This week in ELA we continued on with our folktale, fairy tale, and fable unit. This week we read more examples of each and filled out graphic organizers on the story elements. We started new spelling lists that we will finish up next week. Ms. Jamie was able to complete a little over half of the running records. These will be finished up early next week, just in time for report cards to come home!  Standards covered: RL.3.2, RL.3.3, Rl.4.2, RL.4.3, RL.4.6 This week in science we began our earth systems unit. We found the perfect Magic School Bus episode (which matched Ms. Jamie's book character costume) to introduce the unit. We first began by talking about how the earth changes naturally. We brainstormed ideas like water moving, gravity, natural disasters, and weather. We also learned about the 4 layers of earth (crust, mantle, outer core and inner core) . Ask me what layer of earth is the largest!  Standards covered: 4-ESS1-1, 4-ESS2-1-2 -Ms. Jamie
