What a fun and busy week! We ended our reading month celebrations this Friday and had a fun-filled day in the dark! We turned off the overhead lights and got cozy in our spaces while using lamps and light activities. On Wednesday this week we spent the afternoon rotating through many classrooms and completing reading activities as we went along. We've been reading so many books and listening to so many guest readers! Look below for pictures.
Our weather talks have led us to the idea of seasons and the patterns of weather. How lucky are we that we get to have all 4 seasons! We also talked about the season our birthday is in and found 2 sets of birthday twins! May and June are a busy birthday month.
In map news, this week we made a pirate treasure map using a key and a compass rose. Hopefully soon we can read a given map to find our own version of buried treasure once this weather cooperates with us!
Things to talk about from the week:
- The ocean video from Friday
- Art with Ms. Rachel
- Christmas lights
