We are first looking at force and motion. We reviewed balanced and unbalanced forces. The students read a story where a seal was having trouble getting on top of a floating block of ice in the ocean. The students were able to cut out a seal and block of ice out of paper and use some cardboard to experiment how the seal could balance forces on the ice. We will continue with more patterns of motion next week.  Standards covered: 3-PS2-1-4, 4-PS3-1 -Ms Jamie
