Ms. Jenn's Math and Science Class -
This week: This week for math students have been practicing finding the volume of a rectangular prism in cubic units and using the formula l x w x h. Students are also excited to be starting their summer vacation project for math! They are taking a road trip by themselves or with a partner. They are budgeting the price of gas, lodging, entertainment, and food for four nights. The team to get their budget closest to $0 without going negative wins!

Ms. Sarah's ELA and Social Studies Class-
This week: This week the students have been working on their poetry unit. For social studies, the 6th graders have still been learning about economics. Our 5th graders are grouped up to work on their Colony Brochures. We also saw an opossum, an owl, and a snake from the Howell Nature Center. They do have summer camps if you are interested. The Spirit of Alexandra, who also helped us with the in house field trip, they often have scholarships to support these camps. Here is their website:
