Peak at our Week
We asked students to decide if they had more fun walking and playing at Rotary Park OR making energy absorbers with Dan. There wasn’t a clear cut winner.
As we begin to wind down our year, we are taking time to reflect on all that we have learned, the friendships we have made, and the memories we have made.
In ELA, we have been looking back at all that we have learned this year. We will be sending home reading folders, projects, and memory books next week. Encourage your student to read daily over the summer. Visit your local library and check out the fun summer activities that have been planned. Games are another way to keep skills sharp over the summer. Students love POP, SNAP, and Spelagator.
We are finishing our 3 Little Pigs unit. Students are finishing up puppets, and scenery to be able to retell the story at home. We will also complete a STEM challenge this week.
We spent our week reviewing math strategies and skills that we learned throughout the year. How fun to review work from back in the fall and realize how easy it is for us now! The children will be bringing home their math books with pages they can work on this summer to keep their math skills sharp. We also recommend POP, Splat, Head Full of Numbers and Roll the Biggest Number for some fun ways to practice addition and subtraction skills.
