Gym - 11/18/22

  Hello BLS Fam! Just a reminder: We will be outside walking and jogging to warm up unless it is unsafe or too cold. Please send warm coats/hats/gloves!

GREAT NEWS!! We were awarded a mini-grant through SVSU to help us purchase some new PE Equipment!! Unfortunately, PE Equipment is very expensive but this money will be so helpful in replacing some very well used equipment. My hope is to create a "wish list" through Amazon and ask for help to fill in even more equipment gaps for the upcoming year. 

 

We continued our Throwing and Catching unit this week! The classes tossed bean bags to their partners from a bin in the middle and whoever had the most bean bags in their hula hoop by the time we ran out of bean bags were the winners!

We played a fun game of "Catch the Turkey" on Wednesday! All grades enjoyed this fun game! The turkeys stayed in the middle and the taggers on the outside. If they were tagged, they had to go inside the "turkey cage" aka hula hoop and do squats. In order to get out of their cage, they had to be given a high 5 by a student and say what their favorite healthy food is they eat at Thanksgiving. Most responses were "corn" and "turkey" 😂

Most importantly, we held hands and we danced!
