Field trip money is due on Thursday, September 21st!
It was a great week in first and second grade! In ELA we continued to work in our reading groups on phonics, writing, and becoming confident readers. The students got to play a popcorn sight word or letter sound game. They were able to read to awesome Squishmellow friends and work on writing stories from their own lives.
In science the second graders used the scientific process to see what would happen to Skittles if we poured water on them. Ask you student ton tell you all about it! The first graders learned about the three states of matter and experimented with a non Newtonian fluid (Oobleck) that had properties of a liquid and a solid. Ask your student to describe it to you!
